Footnotes

The thoughts we never said out loud, the stories we carry in pieces.

Some days feel like commas. Others like full stops.

From the Footnotes:

Grief is an eternal friend.
Some days, it rears its head in the most unexpected moments.

Grief is longing for a loved one who’s no more.
It’s the crushing ache that doesn’t let you breathe on a day when the world feels too much.
It’s the numbness that comes from holding back, from not knowing how to let the pain out.
Grief is the smile that touches your lips but never reaches your eyes.
It’s the sense of loneliness even in a crowd.
It’s being the heart of the party and still feeling hollow inside.
Grief is thinking of those no longer with you and finding solace in believing they’re still watching over you.
